Craig Bellamy Announced as New Wales Manager
A Triumphant Return for the Welsh Legend
Former Liverpool and Manchester City forward Craig Bellamy has been appointed as the new manager of the Wales national team. The announcement was made on Tuesday morning, and Bellamy is set to take charge of his first match in the upcoming UEFA Nations League campaign.
A Career of Success
Bellamy enjoyed a successful playing career, representing several top clubs in the Premier League. He made his first-team debut for Norwich City in the 1996-97 season and went on to play for the likes of Newcastle United, Blackburn Rovers, Liverpool, Manchester City, and West Ham United. He also earned 78 caps for Wales, scoring 19 goals.
As a manager, Bellamy has previously led Cardiff City and Anderlecht. He will now be tasked with rebuilding the Wales national team following their disappointing performance at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
