LDS missionaries get opportunity for special service for BYU-SMU football game

Missionaries to participate in various activities

LDS missionaries serving in the Texas Dallas Mission will have the opportunity to participate in a special service project at the BYU-SMU football game on Saturday, September 24, 2022.

The missionaries will be assisting with a variety of activities, including:

  • Helping to set up and staff the BYU Experience Zone, which will offer food, games, and activities for fans of all ages
  • Serving as ushers and providing other assistance to fans at the game
  • Participating in a pre-game devotional for BYU students and fans

Missionaries excited to serve

The missionaries are excited to have the opportunity to serve at the game and to represent their faith in a positive way.

"We are grateful for the opportunity to serve at the BYU-SMU football game," said Elder David F. Evans, president of the Texas Dallas Mission. "This is a great way for our missionaries to show their love for the Lord and to share their testimonies with others."

Service a great way to share the gospel

LDS missionaries believe that service is a great way to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with others.

"When we serve others, we are following the example of Jesus Christ," said Elder Evans. "We are also showing the world that we care about them and that we want to make a difference in their lives."

Missionaries to give free Book of Mormons

In addition to the activities listed above, the missionaries will also be handing out free copies of the Book of Mormon to fans at the game.

The Book of Mormon is a sacred text that tells the story of the ancient inhabitants of the Americas.

The Book of Mormon is a powerful witness of Jesus Christ and His gospel.
