Phil Taylor To Join New Genesis 9 Trio
Phil 'The Power' Taylor has joined a new three-man darts team for the upcoming Genesis 9 tournament.
Taylor, 62, will team up with Devon Petersen and Daryl Gurney in the event which features 32 teams of three battling it out for a share of £500,000.
Taylor, who retired from the Professional Darts Corporation circuit in 2018, has been enticed back to the oche for the innovative event at London's Alexandra Palace.
The 16-time world champion will be hoping to add to his incredible trophy haul, which also includes the World Matchplay, World Grand Prix and Grand Slam of Darts.
He will be joined by Petersen, a two-time World Cup winner with South Africa, and Gurney, a former Premier League champion.
The Genesis 9 tournament will take place from March 24-26 and will be broadcast live on Sky Sports.
